  B.S. in Botany, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2005

  Current Projects:
Comparative experiments in the UW-Madison Arboretum and in Morelia, Mexico test the effects of cutting and prescribed fire on Typha sp. We seek to develop management strategies to control the dominance of cattails in order to restore and maintain species-rich wetland plant communities.

Collaborations with Dr. Roberto Lindig-Cisneros (UNAM-Morelia) and his students add an exciting dimension to this project.
