Guosheng Wu

I joined the Spalding lab in September, 2003 after I finished my PhD study at the University of Illinois at Urbana. My general research interest lies in the developmental biology of Arabidopsis, especially in auxin biology related to seedling establishment.

I have been working to describe the functions of Multidrug Resistance (MDR) ABC transporter genes, also known as PGP or ABCB transporters, that are critical for auxin transport in plants. My research goal is to uncover the molecular-genetic controls of polar auxin transport streams and their physiological significance, especially related to light or gravity signaling.
