  • Grant writer for a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to conserve the balance between cultural and natural resources in sub-Saharan Africa, with emphasis on Ethiopia

Research Associate , Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory, CSU, Fort Collins, CO 2004-2007

  • Authored an NSF grant that awarded our research team $900,000 to involve citizen scientists in collection of non-native species data using our online data management system (www.niiss.org)
  • Developed EcoNab Lite, a user-friendly database to aid in collection of non-native species data by citizen scientists
  • Project manager for non-native species database review in collaboration with the Heinz Center
  • Managed quality control for global non-native species control system on Internet (www.niiss.org)
  • Created extensive database of contacts doing work in invasive species science
  • Authored comprehensive technical report for landscape-scale assessment of Grand-Staircase Escalante National Monument, Utah
  • Created extensive reference library and database to increase the efficiency of literature reviews
