Literature related to Salvia

This is an incomplete list of references of potential use to Salvia researchers. This list is by no means complete (particularly with references related to the phytochemical and agricultural fields).  As this site is further developed, references will be searchable by subject such as hybridization, pollen, systematics, etc.   For those interested in information on growing Salvia, you are encouraged to visit the World of Salvias webpage.  Additionally, two outstanding references with regard to horticultural aspects of Salvia are Clebsch 1997 and Sutton 1999.  Essentially all the papers included in Advances in Labiate Science  (Harley, R.M. & Reynolds, T.) could have been included in this list, and anybody interested in Labiate science is referred to that book.  The same can be said of the series of papers included in Sage, The Genus Salvia edited by S. E. Kintzios.
