Perigynia with long, thin beaks, long culms with pendant spikelets, and fibrous plant bases help to identify this species. Often found in sugar maple forests and othe rrich woodlands. Collected at both Andrew Hipp's property in Madison and woodlands behind Ray and Connie Gardner's house in Green Bay.
