Note: This plant is suitable in mass or group planting, accents, woodland or near ponds, bogs, streams or pools. It has daisy-like flowers and large, leathery, toothed, heart-shaped, basal leaves. New leaves unfold as a purplish to red color but they turn to a brownish-green later on. The soil this plant resides in should never be allowed to dry out. Prefers shady, moist, well-drained, organic-rich soil.
