Note: This emergent, tuberous, aquatic plant is suitable for water gardens. Giant Bur-Rusht has round bur-like flower heads and strap-like leaves. The female flower heads are spiny and spherical, turn from green to brown as they mature. The ttubers and stem base are edible. Prefers sunny, moist, well-drained, ordinary garden soil.
