Note: This evergreen, flat-needled conifer is suitable individually as a focal point specimen or as a group for evergreen screens. Douglas Fir is not tolerant of drought and heat. The needles are blue-green, and up to 1.5 inches long with a white color band beneath. Monitor plant for root rot and leaf cast fungi. Prefers sunny, moist, well-drained, acidic loamy soil.
