Note: This clump-forming plant is suitable for cut flower gardens, borders, containers, and rock gardens. Its flower buds puff up like balloons before opening, hence the common name "Balloon Flower." Removal of spent flowers prolongs the blooming period. Balloon Flower has fragile roots and great care should be given during transplanting. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moderately dry, well-drained, organic-rich soil.
