Note: Sour Gum is suitable as a shade or street tree. Flowers of this dioecious tree are an excellent source of nectar for bees. This plant has a spectacular scarlet Fall color. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moist to wet, well-drained, ordinary garden soil.
