Note: This tender, tuberous-rooted perennial is primarily grown as an annual, and is suitable for borders, beds, or containers. The common name "Four O' Clock" is in reference to its flowers opening at approximately four o'clock (p.m.!!). These flowers are fragrant and very attractive to hummingbirds. All parts of this plant are poisonous to humans. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moist, well-drained, ordinary garden soil.
