Note: This plant has lemon scented foliage. Aromatic leaves are used (fresh and dried )as a seasoning in soup, salad dressings, sauces, meats, desserts, herbal teas, vegetables, confections and in some alcoholic beverages and liqueurs. Dried leaves are also used in potpourris. Some varieties, including a variegated type, are suitable for ornamental uses, especially as border plants in gardens. Monitor plant for powdery mildew. Prefers sunny, moderately dry, ordinary garden soil.
