Note: This plant is suitable for foundations, shrub borders, as a specimen, or in hedges. Hard pruning of the stems is recommended in late Winter, or after flowering in the Spring, if this plant becomes overgrown. Pink Cloud Beautybush has a yellow fall foliage color, and when its stem become older the bark exfoliates. The genus name Kolkwitzia was given to this plant in honor of 20th century German botanist Robert Kolkwitz. Prefers sunny, moderately dry, well-drained, ordinary garden soil.
