Note: The flowers of these plants are frequently used in floral arrangements. Removing the spent flowers will prolong the blooming period. These plants are suitable as a Summer filler for those species that are dormant during the Summer months. Monitor plant for aster yellow, and botrytis. They prefer sunny, moderately dry, well-drained, moderately fertile alkaline soil.
