Note: The fragrant flowers of this compact, slow-growing plant appear before its leaves. Its foliage turns varying colors of orange, red, and yellow in the Fall. This shrub is suitable for shrub borders, mass planting, foundation planting, and hedges. Since this plant requires acidic soil, it makes a great companion in shrub borders or hedges with rhododendrons. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moist, well-drained, acidic, organic rich soil.
