Note: Purple Cone Flower is an excellent plant for borders, wild flower gardens and fresh or dry cut flower gardens. During the Fall season its flowers are visited by birds- goldfinches in particular- that feed on the seeds. For better quality plants remove spent flowers. Monitor regularly for leaf spot, and Japanese beetles. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moderately dry, well-drained ordinary garden soil.
