Note: This plant is suitable for borders, woodland gardens and as a specimen plant. Flowers are very attractive to hummingbirds. Foxglove leaves are poisonous, and are the source of the drug digitalis. Monitor plant for leaf spot, powdery mildew, crown rot, mealy bugs, aphids, Japanese beetles, and slugs. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moist, well-drained, organic-rich soil.
