Note: This ornamental grass, with its drooping seed heads, is suitable for shaded gardens, native plant gardens, near streams, naturalized areas and as an accents or a specimen. Wild Oat makes a good choice for dried flower arrangements. This plant may need staking. Flower heads are green and become purplish bronze by late summer. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moist, well-drained, ordinary garden soil.
