Note: This shrub is suitavele for rain gardens, borders, and near ponds or streams. Flower heads has long styles and are fragrant. These flowers attract butterflies and bees. Pruning the branches, after the flowering period is recommended. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moist, well-drained, ordinary garden soil.
