Note: This low-maintenance plant is suitable for containers, borders, beds, or cutting (fresh or dried flowers) gardens. Taller cultivars may require staking. There are two groups of C. argenta: plumosa (Feather) and cristata (cockscomb). Root rot may occur under poorly-drained medium. Watch for fungal leaf spots, stem rot and spider mites. Prefers sunny, moderately dry, well-drained, loamy, organic-rich soil.
