Spent flowers should be removed after bloom. Canna is suitable for borders, backgrounds, beds, and large containers. During the cold season, rhizomes should be dug out and kept at 40-45 F till the following Spring. Monitor plant for rhizome rot, aster yellow, caterpillars, Japanese beetles, snails, and slugs. Prefers sunny, moist, well-drained, organic-rich soil.
