Note: Flowers of this apetalous evergreen shrub are inconspicuous, yet fragrant. Since this plant has shallow roots, cultivation of other plants closely adjacent is not recommended. Give this plant a good mulch and protect it from Winter winds. This compact, dense cultivar is suitable as a specimen, in foundations, accent, and formal gardens. This cultivar is resistant to leaf miner and mites, but should be monitored for psyllid infestation. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moist, well-drained, sandy-loam soil.
