Note: This deciduous shrub is suitable for shrub borders, open woodlands, mass planting, hedges, near streams and ponds. This plant is notable for its red foliage effect in Fall. It blooms and fruits very heavily, and these fruits attract birds. Monitor plant for blight and leaf spot. Prefers sunny to partly shady, moist, well-drained, organic-rich soil.
