Note: This short lived perennial is suitable for border backgrounds, next to walls or fences, and in cottage gardens. Hollyhock needs staking, especially in windy areas. Monitor plant for anthracnose, rust, leaf spot, Japanese beetles, and spider mites. Prefers sunny, moderately dry, well-drained, organic-rich soil.
