The P. Zedler lab group, to the extent that it is organized, focuses on
plant ecological studies related to ecosystem management, conservation,
restoration, and disturbance ecology. The students in the lab are pursuing
degrees in either
Botany (where P. Zedler is an affiliate) or one of the graduate
degree programs in the
Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Because of Paul Zedler’s
position of Senior Scientist at the U.
W. Arboretum, some students also do some or all of their research
there. It should be noted that “lab” is somewhat virtual, as the students
have offices in two buildings and do their work in Birge Hall, Science
Hall, the Arboretum, and at various remote locations. For details on the
activities of the lab and brief biographies of Paul Zedler and the
students use the links provided above. |
