Dinoflagellates

Students will almost certainly already know something about dinoflagellates'
roles in toxic blooms, shellfish-poisoning, marine fish die-offs, phosphorescent
ocean waters, and reef-forming corals. In this chapter, students will learn how
the incredibly complex cellular structure and reproduction of dinoflagellates are
related to their distinctive ecological behaviors.
