Survey of Botany - Botany 100
Summer Semester

Botany in Three Weeks

Summer Botany 100 will be taught in the early three week session. In 2008, classes begin on May 27 and end on June 13. Three 50 minute lectures and one lab/discussion section are held each day, Monday-Friday, with classes beginning at 8:30 AM and ending at 12:40. The lab/discussion section is taught by a TA and allows "hands-on" interactions with plants, protists, fungi and other microbes, use of manipulative teaching aids helpful in understanding cell and molecular biology, as well as sessions in the Botany gardens, greenhouses, and Muir Woods.
