Habitat:  White cedar/tamarack swamp. Growing in swampy forest with Thuja occidentalis, Larix laricina, and Picea mariana. Also growing on boggy open edge of lake with Myrica gale, Rosa palustris, and Betula pumila.
 
Text:  Common shrub to 20 ft. high with bright red leaves and grayish-white berries. Digital photos taken. First collection for Kewaunee County?
