Habitat:  Sand beaches with well developed complex of primary, secondary and occasionally tertiary dunes and swales; infrequently with active blowouts. Often dominated by beach grasses. Calamovilfa longifolia (25-50% cover) and open sand. Undeveloped lot with secondary dunes with open sand. Well-developed secondary dunes with extensive open sand on secondary dunes, foredunes and within swale. Dune goldenrod (Solidago simplex var. gillmanii); in partial shade of white spruce and paper birch at edge of open sand. Campanula rotundifolia, Calamovilfa longifolia, Elymus canadensis.
