Habitat:  Along normally seepy base of low wooded rock outcrop, near top of north slope of large hill. Mature northern hardwood forest with scattered canopy openings, resulting from selection logging perhaps 3 years previous. With Dryopteris intermedia, Adiantum pedatum, Circaea alpina, Smilacina racemosa, Uvularia grandiflora, Solidago flexicaulis, and Galeopsis tetrahit.
