Habitat:  Shallow water ca. 1--1.5 m deep; substrate: sand. Assoc.: Bidens, Ceratophyllum, Eleodea canadensis, Lemna spp., Myriophyllum spicatum, Nuphar, Najas, Nymphaea, Phragmites australis, Pontederia cordata, Potamogeton spp., Sagittaria rigida, Zizania.
 
Text:  BER2004. Observed populations cover approx. 10% of site 6, which totals 113 acres, and 90% of sites 16, 17 & 18, which total 25 acres.
