Habitat:  Forb-dominated meadow on mesic loamy soil, formerly an untilled pasture on open SW-facing slope near artificial pond in narrow valley. Assoc.: Aster novae-angliae, Bromus inermis, Carex cf. aquatilis, Cornus stolonifera, Equisetum sp., Lobelia spicata, Onoclea sensibilis, Panicum sp., Pedicularis lanceolata, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Tradescantia ohiensis.
