Habitat:  Roadside wet-mesic prairie remnant, mostly weeds (Phalaris arundinacea dominant, with Poa pratensis, Asclepias syriaca, Cirsium arvense, Sonchus sp., Solidago canadensis) but some typical prairie natives present in low frequency (Smilacina stellata,. Thalictrum dasycarpum, Geranium maculatum, Sanicula marilandica, Lysimachia ciliata, Zizia aurea, Galium boreale).
 
Text:  BER1991. [more data on label]. Forming small luxuriant colonies scattered here and there for ca. 0.5 mi, the handome racemes and glaucous-green leaves conspicuous among the grasses. The 2 patches reported by Wayne Pauly were revisited following year.
