Habitat:  Dry, NW-facing sandy prairie hill growing with Aster pilosus, Gnaphilium obtusifolium, Polygala sanguinea, Lechea sp., Lobelia spicata, Amorpha canescens, Solidago speciosa, Baptisia leucophaea, Andropogon spp., Lespedeza capitata, etc..
 
Text:  BER. In flower mid-afternoon, 2 plants - never seen here before on numerous prior visits. Next visit found 94 plants in 6 groups in about 3 acres.
