Habitat:  Northern mesic hardwood forest with a canopy consisting of Acer rubrum, Acer saccharum, Betula alleghaniensis, and Tilia americana. Subcanopy consisting of Abies balsamea, Dirca palustris, and Lonicera canadensis. Sloping gradient that leads to a small creek.
