  • Ivalu Cacho (2009)--
  • Maggie Koopman (2008) - -Systematics and Biogeography of tribe Hibisceae (Malvaceae) on Madagascar with special attention to the maintenance of species boundaries in the endemic genus Megistostegium. She is current doing post-doc position in the lab of Bryan Carstens at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA.
  • Stacey Smith (2006) -- Floral diversification and pollination of the Andean clade Iochrominae (Solanaceae). She is currently doing a post-doc at Duke University with Mark Rausher on anthocyanin pathway evolution in Iochroma.
  • Becky Oldham (2006) -- Becky received her masters: Evolution of the epicalyx in Pavonia (Malvaceae).
  • Mike White (2005) -- Mike is pursuing his PhD in the lab of Brett Payseur, UW Madison.
  • Ryan Oyama (2002) -- Pollination and speciation in native Californian Snapdragons (Antirrhinum). He is currently doing a post-doc at the University of  Munich.
  • Kobinah Abdul-Salim (2002; jointly advised by Peter Stevens) -- Systematics and pollination biology of Symphonia (Clusiaceae). He is an Assistant Professor at Ohio State University.
  • Lena Hileman (2002) -- Floral symmetry genes cycloidea and dichotoma: Gene duplication and the evolution of stamen number in Antirrhineae (Veronicaceae). She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas..
  • Dianella Howarth (2002) -- Dispersal, speciation, and hybridization in Scaevola (Goodeniaceae) in the Hawaiian Archipelago. She is starting as an Assistant Professor at St. John's University- Jamaica, NY.
  • Chuck Davis (2002; jointly advised by Michael Donoghue) -- Phylogeny, systematics, and biogeography of Acridocarpus and other Old World Malpighiaceae. Chuck is an Assistant Professor at Harvard University.
  • Rick Ree (2001; jointly advised by Michael Donoghue) -- Floral diversity and phylogeny of Pedicularis. Rick is currently an assistant curator in Botany at the Field Museum of Natural History.
  • Barbara Whitlock (2000) -- Systematics of Theobroma and its relatives. She is now a faculty member in the Department of Biology at the University of Miami.
  • Weber Amaral -- Floral development in Brassicaceae. Weber currently directs the Brazilian Center for Biofuels at the University of Sao Paulo.

Former post-docs

  • Ning Liu(2008-2009)--

  • Marek Sliwinski (2003-2005) -- The role of LFY and TFL1  in the evolution of  inflorescence architecture in Brassicaceae. Currently a visiting Assistant Professor at Northern Iowa University.

  • Maria Von Balthazar (2002-2003) -- Phylogeny and floral structure of Bombacoideae and Malvoideae (Malvaceae s. l.) with emphasis on the androecium development. She is working as a research assistant/post-doc with Else Marie Friis in the Department of Paleobotany in the Swedish Museum of Natural History.

  • Mathieu Perret (2002-2003) -- Genetics of anthocyanin biosynthesis in Sinningia (Gesneriaceae) and its role in flower color evolution. He is currently a curator at the Conservatoire et Jardin Botaniques Ville de Genčve.

  • Verónica Di Stilio (2000-2002) -- Genetic basis of sexual dimorphism in dioecious meadow rues (Thalictrum, Ranunculaceae). She is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Washington.

  • Ho-Sung Yoon (2000-2003) -- The role of LEAFY in inflorescence evolution in the Brassicaceae.  Ho-Sung is now a Research Professor at Kyungpook National University in Taegu, South Korea..
  • Alan Yen -- Systematics of Malvales. Currently working for the University of Washington intellectual property office.
  • Reto Nyffeler (1999-2000) -- Systematics of Durio and its relatives. He is currently the herbarium curator of Phanerogams at the Institute for Systematic Botany in Zurich.
  • Guoping Shu -- Comparative expression of LEAFY and APETALA1 in Brassicaceae.  He now works for Pioneer Hi-bred
  • William (Bil) Alverson (1997-1999) -- Systematics of Malvales. Bil  now works as Adjunct Curator at the Field Museum in Chicago.
  • Elena Conti (1995-1996) -- Phylogenetic relationships of Crypteroniaceae (Myrtales). Elena is currently an Associate Professor at the Institute for Systematic Botany in Zurich.
