More about me:

I am a first year doctoral student.  In the years that have passed since my undergraduate degree, I have worked for a variety of nongovernmental and governmental agencies.   These positions involved work in mountains, deserts, forests and canyon grasslands monitoring vegetation plots, surveying public lands for rare and endangered plants, and writing conservation recommendations.  I also volunteered with the environment sector of Peace Corps Madagascar.  I intend to return to Madagascar to study the role of phylogenetics in plant community assemblage.
