Genus: Gaura Species: lindheimeri Common Name: White Gaura Family: Onagraceae Order: Myrtales Native: Louisiana, Texas and adjacent Mexico Habit: Herbaceous Perennial Height: 3 to 5 feet Width: 1 to 2 feet Flowering Season: Spring, Summer to Fall Flower Color: Pink or white Propagation: Seed or division Zone: 5-9 Note: This clump-forming plant is suitable for borders, and wild flower gardens. Spent flowers should be removed in order to extend the blooming period. Monitor for root rot , which is common in heavy soil. Prefers sunny, fairly dry, well-drained, ordinary garden soil.
