Welcome Hiroshi Maeda!

We are proud to announce that Hiroshi Maeda will be joining the Botany Department as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2011.

Dr. Maeda is a specialist in plant biochemistry and comes to us from Purdue University. His current research addresses the biochemical pathways that make amino acids and the pathways that split off from these, such as those that make lignin in cell walls.

We would also like to congratulate Hiroshi on being awarded the Eric E. Conn Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Plant Biologists.
